About Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius wrote the private reflections now known as the Meditations while carrying the responsibilities of Roman imperial office. The work was not composed as a modern book of slogans, so short excerpts should be read as parts of an ongoing Stoic practice of attention, conduct and perspective.
